Abstract

It is proposed to reflect on women's work in the production of bodies, valuing the ability to conceive as exclusive contribution of us throughout the history of mankind. The Mesoamerican West is analyzed from The theory of the production of social life, from which a review is made of the interpretations that archeology has made of the representations female figurative, giving a symbolic connotation, linked to the fertility. In contrast, it is proposed to talk about this ability to produce bodies as work, which from a scientific perspective seeks to contribute balance in the knowledge of what we know of men and women during the training period in the Mesoamerican West, and with it, rediscuting the arguments around the Social Division of the Labor of Pretestatal Societies.
